The Federal One Big Beautiful Bill amended the work requirements for SNAP benefits.
Starting December 1, 2025, Michigan is adding the changes. Michigan DHHS posted additional Michigan specific information.
All enrolled tribal citizens are exempt from the work requirements and descendants (2 levels) in Urban Centers (the service areas for American Indian Health and Family Services is Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, Monroe, Saint Clair, Livingston and Washtenaw).
